39th Foundation Day

39th Foundation Day

Warm greetings to the entire WOSY family on this significant occasion – our 39th Foundation Day! Established on October 29, 1985, The World Organization of Students and Youth (WOSY) has dedicated nearly four decades to fostering youth empowerment, unity, and global collaboration. Over these 39 remarkable years, all of us have transformed WOSY into a beacon of hope and resilience, uniting young minds from diverse backgrounds under a shared vision for a better world. Together, all of us have built a legacy deeply rooted in compassion, growth, and a relentless pursuit of positive change.

As we reflect on our journey, we take immense pride in the strides all of us have made in promoting sustainability. WOSY has championed initiatives aimed at addressing climate change, advocating for responsible stewardship of our planet, and empowering young leaders to take meaningful action. Through impactful campaigns and projects, we have inspired countless youth to engage in sustainable practices, ensuring that their voices resonate in critical global discussions. This commitment to sustainability is not merely a goal; it is woven into the very fabric of our organization and our shared mission.

In addition to our environmental efforts, WOSY stands as a vital platform for international students studying in India. We understand the challenges and opportunities that come with pursuing education in a foreign land. That’s why we strive to create the best opportunities for these students to connect, grow, and make a lasting impact. By fostering cross-cultural friendships and collaborations, we help students navigate their unique experiences and transform them into global citizens. Together, we are cultivating a generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow, with compassion and determination.

At the heart of our mission lies the belief in “Vasudev Kutumbakam,” the profound understanding that “the world is one family.” This philosophy inspires us to embrace diversity, nurture inclusivity, and recognize the shared humanity that binds us all. As we celebrate this Foundation Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to building bridges that unite individuals from all walks of life, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Together, we can create a world that honors the richness of our differences while recognizing the common goals we share.

This Foundation Day serves as a reminder of our collective journey, highlighting the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of countless individuals who have contributed to the success of this global movement. Every one of us, in our unique way, has played a pivotal role in strengthening WOSY’s foundation and helping WOSY reach new heights. Our passion, resilience, and determination are the driving forces behind our continued success.

As we commemorate this milestone, we eagerly look ahead to the coming year and the historic celebration of ‘WOSY at 40.’ This anniversary will not only reflect on WOSY’s impactful past but will also chart a future that amplifies WOSY’s commitment to youth development, sustainability, and global unity. Next year’s gathering will be an opportunity to honor our contributions, share WOSY’s accomplishments, and collectively renew our dedication to empowering young leaders who will drive meaningful change worldwide.

With profound gratitude and an unwavering sense of optimism for the future, let us honor this incredible legacy. Together, let us celebrate the path we have traveled, the lives we have touched, and the significant impact we all have made. As we journey forward, let’s strengthen our resolve to create a world that embodies the ideals of unity, justice, and sustainability.

On behalf of the entire WOSY family, I thank you all for your contributions and unwavering passion. Together, let us move forward, stronger, more united, and more determined than ever.

Warmest regards,

Nitin Sharma

Chairperson, WOSY
